چکیده
Introduction Melasma and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) are conditions commonly encountered by dermatologists, they often distressing to patients. While PIH can improve with time once the inflammatory process is controlled, melasma a condition that requires prolonged treatment maintenance. There numerous options, ranging from UV protection topical therapies (such as hydroquinone), more procedural-based options (chemical peels, micro-needling, energy-based devices). Objective This review will focus on of various therapies, including laser devices, intense pulsed light (IPL), high-frequency ultrasound, radiofrequency devices. Methods References were collected using Pubmed search terms “laser”, “melasma”, “post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation”, “energy-based devices.” Findings Lasers IPL target pigment in epidermis dermis appropriate wavelengths principles such thermal relaxation photoacoustic damage. Other lasers, pulsed-dye (PDL), vascular component melasma. Used alone or combination treatments, these devices provide improvement PIH. In addition, some authors have studied use fractionated device-assisted drug delivery therapies. Conclusion there benefit this change usually temporary balanced against side effects dyspigmentation scarring. Therefore, treatments best used combination, maintenance program employs both procedures,

متن کاملPostinflammatory hyperpigmentation after human cold pain testing
Changes in cold temperature sensitivity are often associated with chronic pain conditions. Progress in understanding the neurobiological mechanism underlying these changes and resulting development of effective therapies has been slowed by the accessibility and affordability of devices used to measure thermal sensitivity in humans. To address this gap, we developed an inexpensive method to meas...
